Barnes & Noble

Yesterday I had my book signing at an actual Barnes & Noble bookstore. When I walked inside, I was in awe. I hadn’t been inside a Barnes & Noble in years, and the one I grew up going in was nowhere near as big. When I talked to one of the staff, they got my little table in the middle of the store with a lot of foot traffic. Then I set up my booth and worked my magic. Of course, there was a surprise in store for me.

THis Signing Was a Long Time Coming!

Turns out Barnes & Noble had purchased twenty paperback copies of my first book without telling me. So, for every paperback copy I sold, Barnes and Noble got forty percent of the profit. In the end, I sold ten books, most of which were copies of paperback book one. Even if I didn’t make quite as much money as I would’ve at another event, the experience of having a book signing at the world’s most famous bookstore is priceless. Thank you to everyone who bought a book; I hope you enjoy the read!
