Happy Birthday to me! Earlier this week, I turned twenty-seven years old, which is crazy to imagine. Due to a heat wave, I didn’t do a whole lot physically, but that doesn’t mean I didn’t mentally reflect on my life. Never in a hundred years, let alone in twenty-seven, did I believe I could write and publish two novels. Not to mention gaining confidence with hosting book events and speaking about my experiences as an autistic author. Let me tell you more about why it was a very happy birthday!
Treasure These Memories
Waking up to “Happy Birthday!” messages from family, friends, and loved ones is one of those little things that means a lot the older you get. Also, I received a wonderful update that my second novel, Looked Down Upon: A Masked Wickedness, received the gold 5-star seal from Literacy Global, just like Looked Down Upon: The Exiled Kin did. Today, I’m having a belated birthday celebration with some of my friends, and next week is huge; I’ll be in Rhode Island for the Summer Book Festival in Pawtucket as a vendor selling books. Happy Birthday to me, indeed!
