Video influence! Yes, we live in what we know as the age of information, but we also live in the age of social media. Whether it’s a positive or negative is up to one’s interpretation. However, trying to fight it is an uphill battle. There are many internet celebrities, influencers, and content creators that have achieved fame and fortune from their videos on social media. I call this video influence. Admittedly, this has caused many people to get clout from just uttering something stupid or cringe and they are probably undeserving of our attention. Yet it’s our likes and view that helps them get the bag.

I’m talking about video influence because video content is what’s hot nowadays. TikTok and Instagram reels are what’s popular across social media platforms. YouTube videos have always been a staple since its inception. Authors and Poets should make TikTok videos and Instagram reels to help get word out on their projects. Use the algorithm to your advantage. Personally, one of the few reasons I have TikTok is to promote my poems and my new book. It’s a resource and video influence can help your book reach heights you could only dream of. Only you can make it a reality if you promote it across all platforms. The choice is yours.
