Thanksgiving happened earlier this week and I hope you all had a joyful holiday. This time of year, many are going a hundred miles an hour. Whether it’s cooking food, shopping, or spending time with family, we go through a lot of stress to try and have a good time. I am grateful to have a small core group of family and we don’t have to cook for thirty or forty people. Not to mention, worry about getting into a heated political debate with your angry Uncle. My holiday was simple, I worked in the morning to get time and a half, then ate dinner. The only non house guest that came over was older brother, and I wouldn’t have it any other way. I also got some more writing done on my sequel. So, my Thanksgiving was simple yet delightful.
Holidays Can be Amazing or Rough
Unfortunately, not everyone has the pleasure of having a happyThanksgiving. as many individuals don’t have family to have a feast with. Or maybe, they have strained relationships with their loved ones and don’t want to see them. One solution for this is to have a friendsgiving with your other/chosen family if you will. I had a friendsgiving too, and it’s always a blast to hang with the guys. So, don’t despair if you have to see undesirable family or don’t have a lot of family to begin with. There’s always alternatives to have a cheerful Thanksgiving. The holidays are both a blessing and a curse, but in the end it’s up to you to make it a special occasion.
