My Favorite Character

My favorite character in all of media is Spongebob Squarepants. It’s the show I grew up watching. It even came out the same year I was born, 1999. The cartoon remains on television to this day and it has become one of if the most well known cartoon of all time. It got me thinking about something. What is my favorite character in my book? There are many worthy contenders for that title, from Bonnie to Drew. However, it has to be the main protagonist, Luke. After all, Luke was loosely based off of me and my life experiences as someone who is autistic. Also, he is representation for the autism community, which hasn’t been very well shown in media until fairly recently.

Without Characters there is no story!

Favorites in Media can become larger than life!

Without Luke, there would be no narrative to drive the plot of Looked Down Upon: The Exiled Kin. He is my favorite character since he’s human. He has insecurities, fear, and limited abilities as we all have. Without spoiling anything, I love Luke’s interactions with all the characters he comes across. Due to his disability he has trouble deciphering sarcasm and processing emotions like many people on the spectrum. I genuinely hope someone comes across my book and falls in love with the cast of characters I created. It would mean the world to me if my book touched people’s lives. One of the greatest accomplishment an author can have is someone telling them that their favorite character is someone from their book. So, please tell me who your favorite character from my book is.
