Museum memories are meant for appreciation. I realize museums aren’t everyone’s cup of tea, but I’ve always been adored by subjects such as history, art, and science. This past weekend I made some new museum memories, one of which I never saw as a possibility for me. One of my art pieces is temporarily on display at the Mattatuck Museum in the town of Waterbury. It was an acrylic, abstract painting that was inspired by Wassily Kandinsky who’s one of my favorite artists.
Made a Mark and Memories Last Weekend
For my museum memories, my favorite is the fact my painting was right in the middle of the room. So all the interested eyes would pass by it at some point. I’m grateful for the collaboration for the Social Chase and Mattatuck Museum for making the Free To Be exhibition a reality. I think this will go down as one of those museum memories I hold near and dear to my heart. My piece was titled Void of Color for anyone curious about the name of my artwork.
