How it all started. My journey as a writer started late as most of you already know. I wasn’t a prodigy who spent his entire childhood writing poetry or since I could hold a pencil. It was college, where I fell love with writing and truly started honing my craft in the art of writing. Of course, there were hiccups here and there in my adolescence where I wrote for school and some personal enjoyment, but they were few and far between. To quote famous Civil Rights Leader, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., “I had a dream”. That’s how it all started, so let me tell you all about it in detail.
Turn Thoughts Into Reality
I was nineteen around the time, and working in retail store that particular day in April. I had written a few poems, but nothing like writing a book. The task was monotonous so my mind started drifting off as it sometimes does. Little did I know, I would start piecing together a plot for my first published novel. However, I was competent enough to know I struck gold, so I wrote down my thoughts on paper and starting writing my draft late that day on the computer. That’s how it all started. Look where I am now, a website, a published book, and dozens of poems written. I wouldn’t be here if not for that daydream four years ago. How it all started doesn’t matter, it’s where you end up that truly matters in the grand scheme of things.
