I’m always grateful to be where I am today. I’m blessed to have a wonderful network of family, friends, mentors, and supporters to be in the place I’m at right now. I’ve always detested the term self-made. I understand it’s meant to showcase that someone didn’t come from from a family of immense wealth, but no one is really self-made. No one starts a successful business alone, no one can run a component political campaign, and no one can publish a book alone. So, take a step and be grateful for all the nice people who gave a helping hand in your journey to be the best version of you possible.
Thank You for Everything!
I actually had an epiphany after my blog post last week. Realizing I never told my old english professor from college about my book, I reached out her, and let her know I that published a novel. I’m eternally grateful for her because I don’t rediscover my love for writing without her words of encouragement. Looked Down Upon: The Exiled Kin doesn’t exist without the confidence my english professor instilled in me in 2018. So, I reached out to her, told her about my book and gave her her flowers for the positive impact she had on me. It’s easy to forget all the people who helped get you to where to you are and you may never see them again after they’ve done their part, but always remain grate and humble.
