I keep busy as I always say. This weekend I had not one but two book sales back to back. The best part of my book sales is that both were local events. With one at the Bristol Public Library and the other at WorthWhile Reads, a bookstore in Bristol as well. As a local Bristol, CT resident (born and raised) it felt amazing getting to interact with fellow readers and authors in my local community. The only downside is that I’ve done talks and signigns before so I may not sell as many books, but I can never turn down a Bristol event as my heart is always going to be with the ‘All Heart City’.
Local Sales Are The Best!
Between the two events, I sold thirteen books. Which isn’t the most books I’ve sold, but I got to make connections with other authors, got more booth decor ideas, and interacted with my local community. So these experiences are priceless not matter the number of sales. Lastly, Before writing this post I received a comment on Facebook from one of the WorthWhile Reads Staff saying ‘I heard great feedback about you from the customers’. Sometimes it does pay dividends being a local boy. Thank you to all who showed up.
