Book Walk

Hi friends! This past Saturday I had the distinction of being a part of The Book Walk event in Wethersfield where over eighty authors were present. It was a sunny day, but not too warm. The wind was a minor inconvenience as it kept knocking down my papers. To say this book walk was a success is an understatement. I admittedly had my reservations of how this would work out for me considering how the last Nutmeg Litfest event went back in May. Despite some networking, I didn’t sell a single book that day and I wasn’t alone in that regard. However, my sales blew my expectations out of the water.

Good Things Come TO Those Who Wait

My Booth Skills Has Improved Since I Began

At the Book Walk there were four lots, each with an assortment of authors. I was in lot four with about fifteen others. Being in one of the smaller lots and given what transpired in May I set a fairly reasonable sales goal of ten books. If I had just sold ten books in five hours, I would consider that a success at the Book Walk. I was not prepared to sell thirty-three books in a single day. Yes, you read that right, thirty-three. This was easily my best sales day at this point in time since I became a self-published author. Not only did my book reach a wider audience, but I got to met a ton of amazing people and network. The Nutmeg Litfest Book Walk was very good to me and I look forward to the next event!
