Life is often a paradox and full of contradictions. Many people are walking contradictions where they say something but do something else that goes against their values or words. People are complicated and some are even hypocrites. However, it’s not always simple. Most folks want to be healthy and lose weight, but want to eat dessert or fried food. As you know if you do that, you won’t lose weight. That’s the paradox. You can’t have your cake and eat it too.

My paradox is that I would like to make money, but I don’t like the idea of selling my art. This is being brought up because I can go to an event where I can sell my art, but I struggle with the concept of it. It can be linked to the museum exhibit I had a month ago. It seems like not a big deal but I put my heart and soul into everything I create. On the other hand, I should see it as an honor that people want to purchase my art and I can make money off of selling the fruits of my labor. It’s ironic how even myself am faced with a paradox. I like to think everybody faces these dilemmas and difficult choices.
